Summer Ice Programs 2008

Learn to Skate - Instructions on the basics of skating. Opened to all age groups and skill levels. This is an 8 week program starting July 12 - August 30, 2008.

Freestyle - Practice ice for figure skaters. Open to all ages and skill levels. Held every Friday and Sunday from 4:00pm - 5:30pm. After August 30, 2008 times subject to change. Price per session. ($5.00)

High School /College Pick Up - Open ice for all players in high school and college. After August 30, 2008 times subject to change. Price per session. ($7.00)

Teen Night - All teenagers welcome. This is an ongoing event held on Friday nights. Price per session. ($5.00 admission, $4.00 rentals)

3 X 3 - Held every Saturday from July 12 - August 30. We encourage team entries, no more then 6 players per team including goalie. 15 minute games played at both ends of the ice, neutral zone open for stick and puck. Mites, Squirts-1st year Pee Wee, 2nd year Pee Wee to1st Bantam, 2nd Bantam to High School.

Public Skate and Stick and Puck - Both held everyday between 12:15pm - 3:15pm. Check web-site for schedule. After August 30th times subject to change. Public Skate ($5.00 admission, $4.00 rentals) Stick and Puck ($5.00)

Men's League - 12 week program held on Tuesday nights games are back to back. Three 12 minute stop time periods, must be 18+ to play. *Time may change to earlier.

Adult Learn to Play - Introduction to hockey for adult players. Held every Sunday from 5:45pm - 6:45pm. This is broken into two sessions 1st held July 13 - August 30. 2nd session is August 24 - September 28.

Co - Ed - This is a 12 week program held on Sundays from 7pm - 8:30pm. Drop in available depending on registration. Registration secures your spot.

Open Pick Up Hockey - Held on Thursday nights from 9:15pm to 10:45pm, 12 week program starting July 10 - September 25. ($10.00)

Green Mountain Speedskating - Beginner to advance skaters welcomed to join the club. Green Mountain Speedskating will be holding a meet at the Fieldhouse in October.

Teen Night

Friday nights the RRFH is happy to host a very popular teen skate. Typically it runs from 8-10pm and the admission is $5.00, rental skates if needed $4.00. We have a fully stocked concession stand, music, DJ's for special occasions and are planning to host the first annual New Years Eve Skate this season. Attendance has been high, so in order to maintain a fun safe environment we ask all participants that they view and honor our code of conduct while attending. See below.

Teen Night Code of Conduct

  • All participants must pay to enter the facility. Once you have entered the building you may not leave and reenter.
  • Aggressive physical and or verbal behavior such as bullying or fighting is prohibited. Conflicts should be brought to the attention of the staff on duty.
  • Vandalism is prohibited and will result in immediate removal.
  • No outside food or beverages may be brought into the facility.
  • Objects that may bring harm to others or the facility are specifically prohibited.
  • The above policies will be strictly enforced by the Fieldhouse staff and security. We reserve the right to inspect any suspicious bags.
  • Those demonstrating unsafe or innapropriate behavior may be asked to leave and parents will be notified.
  • By signing our waiver you agree to abide by this code of conduct.

Behavior Reinforcement Policy

  • Persons reported demonstrating inappropriate behavior or breach of the code of conduct will be asked to leave the ice or seating area to a secure location.
  • All parties will be interviewed and appropriate action will be determined by the manager on duty. If parties are asked to leave the facility they will be supervised by a security guard in a discreet non threatening fashion after a parent or guardian is notified.
  • Any incident deemed unsafe ,threatening or of vandalism will automatically trigger an incident report which will require parent or guardian notification.
  • The Rutland Regional Fieldhouse reserves the right to revoke the privilege of individuals to attend functions at the Fieldhouse.
